It's the Super Bowl!

The only interest I have in the defining celebration/contest of the weekend is that I get to watch one more football game. I love football season. I don't, however, feel like it's a life-changing event requiring me to paint my face, throw off my shirt, or worship at the altar of NFL sponsors.
For some reason, on any given Sunday morning, I'm either highly cynical or completely ironic. Just ask my husband. He's the victim of any and every long-winded speech I deliver from the platform built on every worry, fear and injustice I find the day before Monday hits. Some get the Sunday blues. I, the Sunday Spews.

Happy Birthday, Farrah
Farrah's swimsuit will make its way to the Smithsonian today on what would have been her 64th birthday.
As fifth graders, my friends and I all had every magazine picture and poster of her ever produced. We tried to mimic her movements. We sported this picture on our t-shirts, our names ironed on the back.

- Barbara Bush is beautiful and in support of marriage equality. Lucky&smart! (towleroad)
- David Duchovny exhibits his awesomeness. (all access)

Down and Dirty: Showtime vs Showtime
It's fitting that the new Showtime (UK remake) series, Shameless, opens with a protracted bathroom montage. The one-hour show is dark and dirty, pretty filthy actually. The opposite of a Rockwellian snapshot. That's what makes it so good.
Well, it's starting to be good.

Why Gatorade Will Make Your Kid Cry
I know, right? My biggest gift has always been my ability to shock. (And disappoint my parents. Ok, I never really disappointed my parents. Ok, yes, I did, but they were very gracious about it. Moving on!)

Porn and the UPS Guy

When we first moved to our new home, we had the best UPS delivery man. He was efficient and extremely good looking, had a lovely wife and kids a few neighborhoods away. But the best thing about him was
